There should be a battle of the true heavy metal bands.And no u2 and poison was not a heavy metal band.So please dont bring it. Must be a true heavy metal band.we will need to put in separate groups example: #1 Heavy Metal #2 Thrash Metal #3 Death Metal etc etc. My pic is Testament

...oh l see, your trying to point out that our Rock Metal section in Music Videos should be split onto three sub sections, and that Testament is a true Heavy metal band...right got it...l think!

..always wondered why it was called death metal, l take it know one dies.

..heavy metal sort of makes sense so does thrash but death?...seems a bit fooking scary to me :eek:

..and what comes after death, suggestions please, maybe Daaark Metal.

On the contrary Smiley, a lot of folks have died, because of so-called Death Metal! Fans at concerts have been trampled to death, stabbed, died of drug over-dose related deaths and lets not forget alcohol piosoning as well! And thats just at the concerts! A lot of folks have also died at home or other places as well, from taking their own life or over-dosing! So, yes there have been death in Death Metal! :eek:

Let us not forget that there have been deaths in the least likely of concerts too - The Who, and some other hippie festivals both in the past and present for example.

Death metal is called death metal because death and morbidity is usually the subject matter.

Not too big on death metal myself, but I used to be and I go with the band Death.

You really hit the nail on the head with that explanation timothlearyisdead! I really don't care for death metal either, but I do like heavy metal though! Also, the fans that got trampoled to death, was at the Who concert, in what I believe was in Cincinati, Ohio! Also, when the Rolling Stones had, of all people, the Hell's Angels, working security for them at one of their concerts, people got stabbed to death, by of all people, the Hell's Angels who were supposed to be working security at their concert! A couple of people died, as a result of being stabbed! Hell of a twist huh?
