This is an interesting thread. I just wanted to jump on the omega 3 bandwagon here and say how awesome it is. I find it helps makes my hair and skin look great. It's great for other women-related issues, too, although it benefits both sexes. I use cold-pressed flax seed oil capsules that are high in lignuns, about 3,600 mg a day. It's really not that expensive compared to other Omega 3 products.

Omega 369 helps with brain function, and helps improve the memory. I sometimes switch between flax seed and 369's. I've also heard gingko biloba is good for memory and concentration.

By the way...I also take B6 daily, 100 mg...which helps stabilize my PMS, coz I turn into a snivelling wally every month. hehe It really helps.

Hi Magentababy :)

I was going to post a new topic asking this in wired but thought your thread was a better place as you seem to know a lot when it comes to healthy eating and food. What I wanted to ask you and anyone reading is, is Tuna safe?

I ask as my Dad eats it a lot (Tuna butties almost every day and with things like Jacket potatoes and toast too) and has health problems and I heard about the high content of MERCURY in it and recent studies show it's gotten worse :blinkz:

Do you or anyone know anything about this? Thanks :)

Good question Sakura :thumbz:

I personally would not be eating that much Tuna..it does have mercury in it and some other nasties...a little of it isnt so bad but i would try and encourage your dad to eat less of it.

I will find some vids out for you i recently watched on fish and mercury :heartz:
