I have had some trouble watching vids on SNT the last couple of weeks, but discovered yesterday that I could get access with an American ip address. As of today - without Am. ip - I get this message:

Why? Leaching sites are hosted there (big ones start with a n , m and d). Also the economic situation in the USA has hurt our advertising and some of these countries give 0$ ad revenue. We are desperately trying to break even each month.

List of blocked countries:

Singapore
Philippines
India
Japan
Other 3rd world countries that allow illegal sites to be hosted

I live in none of the above mentioned countries, not in a 3rd world country and not in a country that allows illegal sites. Does anyone know if this restriction is permanent? I don't like to surf with the ip shield running as it slows down my Internet connection and I get these annoying banners on each page. I'd rather just skip SNT all together. :-|

I was thinking that, they said they were breaking above even with DivX, now they've dropped DivX I thought things would be even better as Flash is a lot cheaper

its all about the money ,if you havent got it sites need to do things to rake some back in ,they could just not host copyrighted vids on their site of cos ,mmmmmmm where would we be then

I'd say we'd still be right here, seeing as we prefer divx or decent quality flash and SNT flash don't cut it for movies. I think they should either become a youtube alternative or at least encode their videos better.

not as a linking site we wouldnt be m8 ,talking of all sites btw not just snt ,i only knock performance of sites that just dont just seem arsed to get their shit right ,not who they block or what they host :thumbz:

Yeah I can't knock SNT too much anyway, because we all know what the main purpose of the site is, and it ain't small clips of funny cats either. Respect has to given where it is due in the pirate world I suppose.
